Launched in November 2006, Ethicalsuperstore.com is a ground breaking internet business. The online shop lists over 3,500 fair trade, organic and eco-friendly products - the widest range available in the UK. Ethicalsuperstore.com is operated by PointOV Ltd, an ethical trading company established in 2003. The company also provides e-commerce services, fulfilment and wholesale products to leading brands and ethical trading companies. PointOV is passionate about people, honest in all aspects of its approach and visionary in the e-commerce leadership it provides. With a staff team of 26, the company is growing at 300% a year.
We are currently looking for a Product Information Production Assistant to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate is someone who has an attention to detail, is self-motivated and can work both quickly and accurately.
Key responsibilities are::
- Uploading new products to various websites including Ethicalsuperstore.com using our web-based catalogue system.
- Liaising with staff and external suppliers on collecting product detail information.
- Checking the quality of information used internally and published on the site.
- Contributing to copywriting product descriptions.
- Contributing to production and dissemination of product and information feeds for other information users – both internal and external.
- Proof reading content provided by others.
- Website page edits.
- Contributing to the organisational style guide.
Other Tasks
- Working closely with the Head of Ethical Sourcing and Quality on projects in line with the business’ evolving needs.
- Carry out other duties, which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by Management
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Experience of editing and\or writing in a creative environment.
- Experience with photography and Photoshop
Desirable
- Experience with e-commerce projects.
- Experience in a creative or entrepreneurial work environment.
Personal Qualities
- Ability to make things happen.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
- Able to cope with change and stressful situations.
- Sympathy with the Point OV mission and goals
